A 3-Day Literary Fest “Abhivyakti” was organized at Quantum University with full confidence, power, and liveliness. This Fest lit up the weekend by bringing together a pool of thinkers, writers, and poets on campus that ended with the mesmerizing ‘Kavyanjali’ poetry recitation. The fest unfolded from October 6th to 8th, providing a captivating literary retreat for students, faculty, and enthusiasts within the heart of the campus. This 5th edition of Abhivyakti had a line-up of events spread across three days sharing the objective to exhibit and celebrate skills and talents in the field of Culture, Literary, and other such activities. Over 10 schools from Roorkee and Saharanpur participated in various competitions and enriched their experience during the Literary Fest.
Abhivyakti is organized into three categories – Inter-School Competition, Inter College/University Competition, and Kavyanjali. An Inter-School Declamation competition was held on the first day of the Literary Fest where students from different schools spoke on the topic”Democracy is the Best Form of Government.Ms. Sejal Singh of Divine Light School Haridwar bagged the winning trophy and Ms. Subhi Kamboj of Greenway Modern School Roorkee stood as the runner-up. The day observed several events being organized Short Story Writing, Skit Competitions, Painting Competitions, and Calligraphy competitions where students spared no effort to surprise everyone with their creativity.
Winner of the Poetry Competition Aviral Verma of B.Tech 1st year Quantum University said, “I am proud and happy to hold this trophy. It was a great opportunity to show my talent to the judges, and I am honored to be awarded this prize by Quantum University, which supports passion programs and creativity.” Debates were held and thoughts were exchanged on the second day under Professor Rajneesh Memorial Debate Competition which served the purpose of intellectual development, the art of reasoning, and self-expression. Ansh Sachdeva of Quantum University won the debate competition followed by Rishi Raj from COER University. Dance Verses, Calligraphy, and other Inter-University competitions were held throughout the day. Saurabh and the group from Quantum University stood first and Ananya and the group from S.M.J.N (PG) College were the runner-up in the Dance vs Poetry Competition. The event witnessed students from different universities proudly achieving trophies in their names.
The highlight of the event, the poetic fest, ‘Kavyanjali’, featured famous poets like Dr. Sarita Sharma, Mr. Syam Srivastav, Mr. Gaurav Sharma, and Mr. Ajay Anjam who showcased their extraordinary poetic talent, leaving the audience spellbound and ensuring the event was etched in their memories. Additionally, student participants recited their own original or adapted creations, which evoked a myriad of emotions ranging from patriotism to love and joy, creating an engaging storyline. Dr. Sarita Sharma added depth to the event by offering insightful comparisons, holding the audience’s attention till the very end.
