Roorkee: Quantum University one of the best engineering colleges in Uttarakhand is proud to announce that its students, Ayush Panwar and Prachi Tyagi, from the BTech Cyber Security program, have achieved remarkable success at the TCS HackQuest Season 8 recently. Demonstrating exceptional skills and knowledge in ethical hacking, Ayush Panwar’s exceptional performance and expertise in ethical hacking placed him among the top 10 Ethical Hackers in the competition. On the other hand, Prachi Tyagi made a significant mark by securing her position among the top 2 Women ethical hackers, showcasing her remarkable talent and skills in the field.
HackQuest, TCS’ annual ethical hacking contest, is designed to identify and nurture rare talent in the field of cybersecurity. The contest, held in two rigorous rounds through an online contest on February 27, challenges participants to showcase their ethical hacking skills and compete for the opportunity to join the ranks of cybersecurity specialists contributing to a safer future.
The competition, TCS HackQuest kicked off with the ‘Catch the Flag’ round, testing participants through a series of challenge statements focused on ethical hacking and security skills. Following this, the second round was conducted over online platforms such as Microsoft TEAMS/Webex, where participants were required to keep their cameras on throughout the competition, ensuring integrity and engagement. Prachi Tyagi expressed her excitement saying, “Participating in HackQuest has been an exhilarating experience. It not only challenged our skills but also provided us with a platform to learn and grow. Standing among the top ethical hackers, especially as one of the top women in this field, is a proud moment for me. This accomplishment has inspired me to continue pursuing excellence in cybersecurity.” Ayush stated, “Each challenge pushed us to think critically and creatively, and it was incredibly rewarding to see our efforts pay off. Being among the top hackers validated our hard work & highlighted the effectiveness of Quantum University’s cybersecurity program.”
